EF Johnson Technologies $1m Task Order

EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:EFJI) announced that its 3e Technologies subsidiary has received a $1m task order against a contract from a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) customer. The company announced the $14.9m contract in January. "The task order calls for us to deliver solutions to support the transmission of data, voice and video as part of a DoD maritime application," said Michael Jalbert, president and chief executive officer of EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. USN Deploys Wireless Gateways From 3e Technologies

3e Technologies International Inc. (3eTI announced that the U.S. Navy has deployed its 3e-520N Wireless Gateway on USS HOWARD to improve productivity and operating efficiencies. USS HOWARD (DDG-83), an Arleigh Burke-class Destroyer, has implemented a ship-wide wireless network using forty 3e-520N Wireless Gateways, allowing personnel to use wireless devices to access crucial network resources and conduct video applications. This Gateway is powered by National Semiconductor's (NYSE:NSM) Geode(TM) solution to achieve high performance and expandability. "It is becoming increasingly important, during day-to-day operations, to reach the last 100 ft. onboard ship with key technical resources.

3e Technologies Awarded $1.1m Navy Contract

EFJ, Inc., said that its 3e Technologies International (3eTI) subsidiary has received a contract for $1.1 million to develop a wireless, spectrum management system for a U.S. Navy customer. 3eTI will be providing a solution to improve wireless network performance by using spectrum data and wireless activity to dynamically optimize wireless network implementation.
