Vericor Power Systems announced it has signed an agreement with MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH (MTU), whereby MTU will package and distribute Vericor’s TF™40 and TF™50 aeroderivative marine gas turbines. The Vericor/MTU-F distribution agreement will greatly supplement Vericor’s direct marketing activities for the TF series gas turbines to worldwide marine customers. The TF40 is rated at 4,000 shaft horsepower (shp)/2,983kilowatts (kW) and the TF50 provides 5,100 shp/3,803 kW. Both engines can be incorporated into a variety of flexible propulsion system arrangements.
