MISC Sells LNG Carriers to Japanese Owner

MISC Berhad (MISC) entered into an agreement with Japanese ship owner, Nissen Kaiun Co., Ltd. (Nissen Kaiun) for the sale and charter of two of its existing LNG carriers.MISC will transfer ownership of the LNG carriers to Nissen Kaiun, and simultaneously enter into a charter agreement with Eaglestar and Synergy Marine as the shipmanagers.The first of the two vessels is expected to be delivered to Nissen Kaiun in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. finished building an 82,000-mt D/W type bulk carrier Ultra Lion on January 7, 2015, marking the completion of the builder’s 200th Kamsarmax model vessel. Bean Carrier Runs Aground

Reuters reported that the Panamanian-registered bulker Global Star, grounded at km 210.5, Pasaje Talavera at 1105 local time on August 15. The 36,561 gt tanker was proceeding to Necochea from San Lorenzo, loaded with approximately 34,000 tons soya bean, draft 8.5 m.
