Hamilton Jet Lands New Orders

Alabama-based offshore operator, P.G. Charter Boats have ordered a new 164 ft. high speed survey vessel driven by Hamilton water jets. The aluminum craft, which resembles Gulf of Mexico crewboats, will be driven by triple Hamilton waterjets powered by MTU diesel engines through ZF gearboxes. The propulsion system will be controlled by a dual station HamiltonJet MECS software configurable electronic control system. Designed by DeJong and Lebet of Jacksonville, the vessel will be constructed at Freeport Shipbuilding. Additionally, NY Waterway, the largest privately-owned commuter ferry operator in the U.S., has ordered a series of new Hamilton Jet powered ferries for passenger operations on New York Harbor.
