With increased safety concerns regarding the transportation of dangerous liquids and gases, the ABS E-CIS program is timely. Available on the ABS website at www.eagle.org in the products and services category, the Oracle-based program has a password protected log in for clients who need immediate verification that a tank container is "not out of date" or who want to track their periodic inspections. A further feature of the program allows for on the spot printing of reports for a specific tank container to show proof that it has passed the required statutory inspection.
