U.S. Coast Guard teams bust suspected drug smugglers in the eastern Pacific

A suspected drug smuggling vessel was interdicted by the U.S. Coast Guard in international waters of the eastern Pacific Ocean near Central America on February 4, 2018.


Video footage courtesy of the U.S. Coast Guard shows two suspected drug smugglers dumping numerous items from their vessel as boarding teams from Coast Guard Cutter Hamilton approach.
The suspects were apprehended, and more than 1,800 pounds of cocaine was seized from their vessel.
