Video: Fishermen Rescued from Flooding Ship

Dramatic video footage shows U.S. Coast Guard responders rescue five fishermen from their vessel taking on water near Cape Alava, Wash.

A 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew from Coast Guard Station Quillayute River rescued five fishermen from their vessel Sunnfjord, which had been taking on water off Cape Alava, Wash., Jan. 31, 2018.

Coast Guard video footage shows emergency responders pull the fishermen from the water, one by one, as they abandon ship.

The 87-foot fishing vessel had been taking on water, forcing the five fishermen aboard to abandon ship after dewatering attempts failed.

The fishermen were safely transported to Coast Guard Station Neah Bay with no reported medical concerns.
