Venezuela to Contract for Two Iran-built Oil Tankers to Expand Fleet

Noonan Named CMA's 2017 'Commodore'
This morning CMA announced that Mr. John D. “Jack” Noonan, CEO of Chembulk Tankers, has been named as the CMA Commodore for the year 2017. Noonan joins a presigious list of previous award winners, including Ole Skaarup, Jacob Stolt-Nielsen, George Livanos, Phil Loree, Thomas Moran, Gregory Hadjieleftheriadis, Helmut Sohmen, Gerhard Kurz, William O’Neil, Richard du Moulin, Per Heidenreich, Marc Saverys, Frank Tsao, Stelios Haji-Ioannou, Peter Georgiopoulos, C.
Nordic Seaarland Names New Carriers
Nordic Seaarland Tankers BV has named two new 37,500 dwt product/chemical tankers building at Korea's Hyundai Mipo yard. Mt Nordic Agnetha was delivered on 8th May 2009, while Mt Amy will be delivered in July. Both vessels will be managed by Netherlands-based Seaarland Shipping Management, and will be entered into the Handytankers pool. The two vessels bring the fleet of the Nordic Seaarland joint venture to five modern product/chemical carriers.
