EPS Supports Navy SCC Cost Study
EPS Corporation has been awarded a $200,000 contract to support the Ship to Shore Connector (SCC) cost study for the Department of Navy. The SSC is intended to provide the functional replacement for the Navy’s Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) hovercraft currently in service. To meet the mission requirements for the SSC, this next -generation platform must be designed, developed and produced to reduced operations and maintenance costs, and improved reliability and maintainability.
Liebherr Werk-Nenzing's 2009 Results
In a highly volatile business environment, Liebherr’s Mobile Harbour Crane Division delivered satisfactory operational performance. In 2009, deliveries amounted to 74 Mobile Harbour Cranes and thus were 27% below those of the previous year’s period. In comparison the total MHC market including all manufacturers dropped ~40%. To complete the picture, this decrease has also to be put in relation with the figures of the previous years.
