Corps of Engineers Budget Briefing

The United States Army Corps of Engineers will hold a press conference to release details of President Bush’s Fiscal Year 2007 budget for the Corps’ Civil Works program is scheduled for today, February 6 from 3 to 4 p.m. The press conference will take place at the USACE headquarters in the General Accounting Office building in Washington D.C. John Paul Woodley, Jr., Assistant Secretary of the Army (Civil Works), and Lt. Gen. Carl A. Strock, USACE commander, will speak at the press conference. Other key individuals available for comment will include Maj. Gen. Don T. Riley, Director of Civil Works, Ms. Claudia Tornblom, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Management and Budget) in the Office of the ASA(CW), and Mr. Gary A. Naval Architect John Gilbert Passes

John (Jack) William Gilbert, PE, U.S. Navy Lieutenant, USNR, a world-renowned Naval Architect and Marine Engineer and President of John W. Gilbert Associates, Inc., Hingham, Massachusetts, died at the age of 80 years on July 26, 2010.
