Monday, August 08, 2011

Marine consent and survey consultancy EMU Limited (EMU) has announced the appointment of a new Principal Consultant to head its expanding marine policy team. Justine Saunders, who has more than 14 years experience with the sustainable development of the marine environment, joined EMU this month to focus on the organization’s marine planning and policy objectives.

Saunders' most recent work involved project managing a study to prepare Business as Usual Scenarios for the marine environment under the Marine Strategy Framework Directive. Prior to that, she project-managed a study to scope a valuation framework for The Crown Estate’s marine interests. Her work with EMU will also include the improvement of tools to assess human welfare impacts from policy changes in the marine environment and the refinement of future development scenarios to inform marine planning.
