Telenor Wins Award for 2005 Maritime Sales Performance

Tuesday, November 29, 2005
Telenor Satellite Services was recognized by satellite operator Inmarsat for best overall sales performance for Fleet services in 2005. Through its global network of more than 300 service providers, Telenor sales of Fleet services increased by 79 percent over the past 12 months. In accepting the award from Inmarsat, Telenor Vice President for Sales Anders Kallerud credited the marked growth of maritime sales to the marketing and sales efforts of Telenor's network of service providers. "It is the hard work and exceptional customer care offered by our service providers to their maritime customers that has led to this record increase of Telenor Fleet sales," Kallerud said. The Inmarsat Fleet family of services via Telenor provides high-quality mobile voice and flexible data communications services, e-mail and secure Internet access for the maritime industry. Fleet services are designed for a full range of vessels at sea - from ocean-going ships to coastal fishing trawlers and recreational boaters.
