Chembulk Announces New Leadership

It has been about fours months since the deal was sealed for PT Berlian Laju Tanker to acquire  Chembulk Tankers—the 21st Century Chemical Tanker Company, and the vision of the acquisition is being realized.  The addition of 19 new chemical tankers, coupled with the strong Chembulk management team, results in an organization that  boasts the third largest stainless steel chemical tanker company in the world.  The fleet of 19 includes the Chembulk Kings Point, delivered last month in , and the Chembulk Jakarta, scheduled to be delivered in January 2009.The Chembulk Kings Point, a 19,800 dwt stainless steel tanker, was named after the  United States Merchant Marine Academy on .  It is the alma mater of Chembulk’s President Jack Noonan and Dave Beun, VP General Manager Tanker Chartering.In addition to Noonan’s promotion to the corner office following the acquisition, the management team is rounded out with the appointments of Dan Dahlgard, EVP General Manager Tanker Operations, Dave Beun, VP General Manager Tanker Chartering, Jeff Kohler, Controller, Arjen Voskamp, Managing Director Netherlands and , and Donna Madden, Manager HR & Office Administration.
