Accommodation Platform Delivered

The heavy transport vessel 'Swan' of Dockwise Shipping in Breda, The Netherlands again delivered an accommodation platform in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Dockwise was awarded the contract for sea transportation of the accommodation and maintenance platform Seafox 2 -managed and operated by Workfox of IJmuiden, The Netherlands- from Mexico to The Netherlands. ”For the second time within 3 weeks we delivered an accommodation platform for support in one of the North sea fields,” said General Manager Commercial Affairs Rob Schoenmaker of Dockwise. “Due to the present high safety standards in the North Sea Dutch operators like Workfox are able to position their specialized units in the oil and gas fields of the various oil companies.” The Seafox 2 has a commitment with Total for accommodation support in the various Dutch oil fields. The 32,650 dwt Swan has a length of 180.50 meter and a breadth of 32.26 meter. As the rig has been positioned off centre on deck of the Swan the Seafox has an overhang on portside of 10.53 meter. The Seafox has a leg length of 91 meter, a width of 45 meter and a length of 50 meter. The Swan loaded the accommodation unit in Veracruz, Mexico by means of the float-on method. After a voyage of just over 2 weeks the unit arrived today in Rotterdam.
