Bill to Stop Beer Sales on Ferries Introduced

Friday, January 20, 2006
A bill has introduced legislation to ban alcohol sales on state-run ferries, as reported by www.goanacortes.com. House Bill 2851 would ban the sale and use of alcohol on any state ferry and at all ferry terminals. The idea for the measure came as a result of meeting with several student groups who questioned the wisdom of the state selling alcohol to people who may be going directly to their cars and driving off the ferry and onto state roads.
