Congressman Elijah E. Cummings (D-Md.), Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation, will convene a Subcommittee hearing on the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive an update on the enrollment process as well as the process for applicants with past criminal convictions to apply for waivers, making them eligible to receive the TWIC card. In addition to a general overview of the
TWIC enrollment process, the hearing will also focus specifically on the experiences of the Port of Baltimore in TWIC enrollment.
