Electronic Marine Systems, Inc. (EMS) of Rahway, N.J. has acquired the assets of Sarasota Measurements and Controls (SMC) of Sarasota, Fla., a leading manufacturer of land-based liquid storage tank gauging systems. SMC has more than 6,000 tanks installed worldwide. The
new division of EMS will be known as EMS.SARASOTA. Rolland Piccone, president of SMC, will assume the position of general manager and will be responsible for all land-based application engineering and sales.
