Great Lakes Dry Cargo Residue Discharges EIS

The US Coast Guard announced its intent to prepare a new Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) relating to the discharge of dry cargo residue in waters of the Great Lakes.  A public scoping meeting will be held in Chicago on January 28, 2009.  Comments on the issue should be submitted by March 30, 2009.  73 Fed. Reg. 79496  (December 29, 2008).
