Hempel Gears Up For Y2K

Known for its place in the marine and industrial protective coatings industry, the Hempel Group is scheduled to open a new state-of-the-art production facility in early 2000. Located in Conroe, Texas, which is north of Houston, the 107,000 sq. ft., IS0 9001 certified facility is designed to manufacture high quality liquid coatings for the marine and heavy duty industrial markets, including the rail, offshore, container and pipeline processing industries. Housing the administration, sales and marketing, and logistics divisions, the new plant has a high level of automation from receiving of raw materials, through the packaging of finishing goods.
