NCL has reportedly canceled a cruise on the Norwegian Sky luxury liner after the vessel ran aground in the St. Lawrence River, Canada. The ship, carrying more than 2,000 passengers and 750 crew, ran aground in the upper St. Lawrence River, near Tadoussac, Quebec, at midday on Sept. 24, but was refloated by late afternoon with the high tide.
The ship's stern suffered minor damage and let in a small amount of water, a Coast Guard spokesperson said. No estimate was given for damages.
No passengers or crew were injured in the incident, and NCL announced it will fully refund all passengers and offer a 50 percent discount on any new
NCL cruise taken in the next 12 months.
