NNS Gets $107M More For CVN21

Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co., Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $107,591,106 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract N00024-00-C-2108 for continued CVN 21 pre-system development and design efforts, including engineering design and related efforts, for the Future Aircraft Carrier Program. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va. (58%), and Groton, Conn. (42%), and is expected to be completed by April 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.
