The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced the second round of port security grants and the Operation Safe Commerce (OSC) grants. The port security grants totaling almost $170 million were awarded to 199 state and local agencies and private companies. The OSC grants totaling $58 million were awarded to the ports of Seattle/Tacoma, Los Angeles/Long Beach, and New York/New Jersey. The

CSI) is being expanded to the Middle East, Turkey, and Malaysia and that an additional $75 million in port
security grants will be awarded utilizing funding from the FY 2003 supplemental budget.
