Santa Fe Intl. Plans Mid-Quarter Update Call

Santa Fe International Corporation will conduct its regular Mid-Quarter Conference Call to update its rig fleet contract status on Wednesday, September 12, 2001, at 10:00 AM CDT/11:00 AM EDT. Richard J. Hoffman, Vice President, Investor Relations, will conduct the call. Items of discussion will include but not be limited to the company's 3rd Quarter earnings projection, rig contract status and responses to questions from outside participants concerning subject matter discussed on the call. The conference call will also be webcast live (listen only) via Santa Fe's website, http://www.sfdrill.com or http://www.videonewswire.com/event.asp?id=1047 .
