Sener Enters Singapore With SeaTech

Monday, July 31, 2000
SENER is proud to announce its entry into Singapore with the introduction of the FORAN CAD/CAM/CIM System at the offices of SeaTech Solutions International (S) Pte Ltd., a recently incorporated marine design and consultancy organisation. SeaTech is founded by two dynamic and experienced professionals, Mr. G. S. Chopra, 46, and Mr. A. V. Kamath, 47, both qualified naval architects who bring together more than 50 years of combined experience in ship design and shipbuilding to SeaTech. Both, Mr. Chopra and Mr. Kamath, are well known and respected figures in the marine industry and have led reputed consultancy organisations individually in Singapore and India, respectively. SeaTech provides a complete range of engineering services including concept design, detailed design, computer lofting, production information, nesting, NC machine coding, pipe routing, machinery arrangement, isometrics, etc. The ‘International’ aspect of SeaTech is well justified as it has already an office in Bombay and plans are being finalised for another in Shanghai followed by others in the region. FORAN services will be offered in all the offices of SeaTech with Singapore as its hub. With this new contract SENER continues to expand its leadership in Asia and become a major player in the field of ship design and production software. Thus FORAN has now established its technological edge in India, Malaysia, Indonesia, China and Singapore.
