Vistas Construction Awarded Contract

Vistas Construction of Illinois, Chicago, Ill., was awarded on Oct. 24, 2002, a $5,000 increment as part of a $12,497,471 firm-fixed-price contract for Chicago shoreline damage reduction. Work will be performed in Chicago, Ill., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 34 bids solicited on Aug. 21, 2002, and six bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity.
