Bisso Lufesa Gets Formal Introduction
Bisso Lufesa Contratistas Maritimos S.R.L. was formally introduced at a special reception as a full-service marine contractor providing services to the maritime, shipping and offshore energy industries. Held at the Swissotel Lima, the gala featured more than 400 guests, including representatives of the maritime and oil and gas industries, government officials and naval authorities. Headquartered in Lima, Bisso Lufesa combines the expertise, resources and experience of Bisso Marine, founded in 1890, and Lufesa Divers, founded in 1992. Bisso Lufesa Salvages Luxury Passenger Vessel
Bisso Lufesa, a full-service marine contractor, successfully salvaged a luxury passenger vessel that sank in the environmentally pristine Galapagos Islands. The crew of the dive support vessel Caballao de Trabajo raised the sunken M/V Parranda and safely towed it 80 nautical miles out to sea, where it was scuttled in a deepwater location designated by Galapagos National Park authorities. The steel-hull M/V Parranda caught fire and sank Jan. 14 in 65 ft of water in the national park off Bartolome Island.
Bisso Lufesa Performs Platform Inspection
Bisso Lufesa, a full-service marine contractor, successfully performed a platform inspection for BPZ Energy off the coast of Northwest Peru. The Bisso Lufesa crew spent about a month aboard the dive support vessel DSV Caballo de Trabajo inspecting the four-pile production platform in 208 ft of water about five miles off the coast. Divers performing the Level II inspection checked for excessive marine growth, damaged welds, corroded structural members, decay, wall thickness, cathodic protection and other conditions affecting the production platform.
