Coast Guard Responds to Vessel Grounding

The Amity Ace, a Panamanian-flagged vehicle carrier, reportedly loss propulsion around 5 a.m. Firday while entering the just south of Brunswick (BC) Point. The ship's pilot immediately contacted the Coast Guard after grounding on the north side of the channel.
Two towing vessels are alongside to assist in re-floating the Amity Ace. The Coast Guard is sending investigators to the vessel to determine the cause of the incident.
