Comark Corp Announces New Rackmount Chassis

March 24, 2009

Comark Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of ruggedized custom computer solutions for the marine and military markets, expanded its portfolio of computer solutions by announcing the availability of the Rugged 5-Slot 2U Rackmount Chassis. The 2U Rackmount Chassis offers high-speed Core 2 Duo Quad processing, 16GB RAM, dual hot swappable drives, a hot swappable power supply, and a DVD/CD-RW drive.

It is designed with a black steel case, aluminum front panel, and a locking front door that protects the power switch and 2 USB ports. The rugged design makes the 2U rackmount ideal for marine and military applications, where standard office grade rackmount computers will not survive. The rackmount computer has been designed to meet commercial marine and military specifications and has undergone testing to both MIL and IEC- 60945 criteria. Additional features include dual cooling fans, replaceable air filters, full solid-state storage and 24V DC input power options. The computing architecture is designed around long-life embedded components to ensure multi-year availability with minimal changes. It is also available with mobile processing technology to reduce power consumption and heat generation.
