LNG deepwater Port License Application – Compass Port LLC
The U.S. Coast Guard and the Maritime Administration (MARAD) issued a Notice stating that they received an application for licensing of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) deepwater port. The deepwater port, to be called Compass Port LLC, would be located in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Alabama. Any public hearing on this proposal will be held not later than January 15, 2005 and a decision on the application will be made within 90 days of the last public hearing. 69 Fed. Compass Port LNG DWP – Enviro Statement
The U.S. Coast Guard and the Maritime Administration (MARAD) issued a Notice announcing availability of the draft environmental impact statement for the proposed Compass Port liquefied natural gas (LNG) deepwater port (DWP) to be located in the Gulf of Mexico approximately 11 miles south of Dauphin Island, Alabama. Public meetings will be held in Dauphin Island (July 12), Mobile, Alabama (July 13), and Pascagoula, Mississippi (July 14). Comments on the proposal should be submitted by July 26, 2004. 69 Fed.
