Delivery of a series of three ABS-classed liftboats concluded in August with completion of the Lewek Lifter. Sister ships, the Lewek Leader and Rising Phoenix, were delivered in January and March 2010, respectively, from the Saigon Shipyard Ltd. in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. According to ABS Country Manager for Vietnam Paul Hayward, the launching of this type of self-elevating, self-propelled multipurpose vessel is the first for a Vietnam yard. The final sections of the legs were installed in Vietnam.
