Oil and gas services company Proserv Controls, has acquired the Middle Eastern operations of Dron & Dickson Electromechanical Contracting (DDEC) LLC, for an undisclosed fee. PPG PMC Terminates Sales Agreement in Mexico
PPG Industries’ protective and marine coatings (PMC) business announced that it has terminated its licensee agreement with Comex Group in Mexico and that customers in that country can now order AMERCOAT brand products directly from PPG. AMERLOCK surface-tolerant epoxies protect steel and concrete structures such as offshore platforms, petroleum processing plants, storage facilities and marine structures in severe environments. Available in a wide range of colors and low-VOC (volatile organic compound) formulations, Amerlock epoxies are engineered to prevent film pinholing and solvent entrapment at the substrate/coating interface, a common site of coatings failure with conventional epoxies and lower-solids systems.

AECOM Wins W. African Gas Infrastructure Contract
AECOM awarded US$15.6-million first year of renewable contract for Ghana’s Western Corridor Gas Infrastructure Development Project. The contract from the Ghana National Gas Company is renewable annually. The project primarily consists of a 27-mile shallow-water section of the offshore pipeline from Ghana’s Jubilee Field to Atuabo; a gas-processing plant at Atuabo; a 68-mile onshore pipeline from Atuabo to Aboadze; a 46-mile onshore lateral pipeline from Essiama to Prestea; a natural gas liquids export system in Domunli; and other infrastructure such as storage facilities and an office complex. DCT Gdansk Heavylift Cargo Capabilities
Since it opened in 2007, the new DCT Gdansk container terminal has had several opportunities to demonstrate its versatility, notably with the transhipment of motor vehicles from deepsea to feeder car carriers and even the handling of a cruise vessel. It has also handled several heavylift vessels including, of course, the vessels that delivered its ship-to-shore cranes and RTGs. More recently though, the terminal has handled a number of very heavy pieces destined for the adjacent Gdansk oil refinery, operated by Group Lotos, and further shipments are programmed for later in 2009.
