Evergreen Line Adds Extra Vessel to KHP Service

Thursday, September 16, 2010

With the vigorous growth of Vietnam's economy, Evergreen Line will add an additional ship to its Kaohsiung-Haiphong Shuttle Service (KHP service) starting at the end of September.

Evergreen Line launched the regional weekly KHP Shuttle Service in 2008. During the past two years, volume in this trade route has burgeoned. From January to July 2010, Vietnam's import and export markets have increased 20 percent compared to the same period in 2009. In order to meet this market demand, Evergreen decided to deploy the additional vessel on this route.

Uni Concord will join the 950-TEU Uni Crown effectively doubling capacity with a twice-weekly service with a rotation as follows: Kaohsiung - Haiphong - Kaohsiung.
