International's Intersleek

September 23, 1999

Intersleek is a revolutionary coating technology which controls fouling on fast craft, says International. Unlike the traditional solution - antifouling - Intersleek does not contain any added biocides. Minimizing fouling adhesion requires a low friction, smooth surface to give weak bonding between the fouling organism and the surface. Intersleek works by providing a smooth, low friction, hydrophobic surface on which fouling organisma have difficulty settling. Any that do settle, adhere only weakly, and can be easily removed from the slippery, easy clean surface.
