The International Seminar on Tanker Safety, Pollution Prevention, Spill Response and Compensation, co-hosted by ITOPF, OCIMF and INTERTANKO, has proven to be very popular. Close to three hundred delegates have indicated their participation in a seminar that will include presentations and updates on OCIMF, SIRE and Charterers' View of Classification Society Progress, as well as Voluntary Improvements for Quality Shipping
, Information Sharing, the Threat of Piracy and Recent Developments in the International Compensation System.
The Seminar, which takes place on Wednesday 6 November at the JW Marriott Hotel
in Hong Kong, will also include a hypothetical oil spill scenario where
a panel of government and industry experts explore the concerns, expectations and actions of key players involved in a major casualty. The aim of the scenario will be to stimulate the audience to engage in a lively debate with the panel.
