DNV Recognizes First Verified SEEMP III Vessel

Classification society DNV presented Arcadia Shipmanagement Co Ltd. with a certificate recognizing their vessel Aegean Myth as the first vessel globally to have a SEEMP III manual. The Ship Operational Carbon Intensity Plan or SEEMP Part III, is part of IMO’s strategy to reduce shipping’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and a verified SEEMP Part III must be kept on board from 1 January 2023.The SEEMP Part III, or Ship Operational Carbon Intensity Plan, was finalized with the latest amendments to MARPOL Annex VI and the associated Guidelines at MEPC 78 last month.

Arcadia Receives EU MRV Monitoring Plans

Arcadia Shipmanagement Co Ltd Enters the New Era

Having initiated ECDIS program by fitting Transas dual ECDIS on the entire fleet back in early 2006 when ECDIS regulation was only a long-term plan, Arcadia Shipmanagement has teamed up again with Transas Hellas in order to conclude the program and shift its fleet to paperless navigation. All dual ECDIS installed on the vessels will be fully upgraded to exceed the latest carriage requirement by deploying official charts (Transas Admiralty Data Service), Transas precise navigation tools and chart handling system.

Greek Ship Management Company Gains DNV Certifications

DNV awards ISO 50001 certification & SEEEMP conformity to the Greek shipping company Arcadia Shipmanagement Co Ltd. As commercial ship operators around the world continue to search for ways to lower their environmental impact and operating costs, ISO 50001 offers a voluntary international standard that specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving an energy-management system. It offers companies a systematic approach to continually improve energy performance, including energy efficiency, use and consumption. Certification to the ISO 50001 standard is one way in which ship operators can reduce the environmental impact of their operations, according to Nikolaos Boussounis, DNV Regional Manager for Region East Mediterranean, Black and Caspian Seas.
