Diana Shipping Fixes Arethusa with Ausca

Diana Shipping announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Ausca Shipping Limited, Hong Kong, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Arethusa.The global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels said that the gross charter rate is US$9,150 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum twelve months to maximum fifteen months.The charter is expected to commence later today, it said. Diana Shipping TC for m/v Arethusa with Glencore

Diana Shipping announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Glencore Agriculture B.V., Rotterdam, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Arethusa. The global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels said that the gross charter rate is US$12,600 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 12 months to maximum 15 months. The charter is expected to commence on April 25, 2018. The m/v Arethusa is currently chartered, as previously announced, to Noble Resources International Pte. Ltd., Singapore, at a gross charter rate of US$7,200 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties. The “Arethusa” is a 73,593 dwt Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2007.

Diana Shipping Signs Contracts with Cargill, Noble

Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels,  announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has agreed to extend the present time charter contract with Cargill International S.A., Geneva. The time charter was extended for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v Baltimore, for a period of minimum thirteen (13) months to about sixteen (16) months. The gross charter rate is US$11,300 per day, minus a 4.75% commission paid to third parties. The new charter period is expected to commence on February 3, 2017. The Baltimore is a 177,243 dwt Capesize dry bulk vessel built in 2005.

Diana Shipping Extends Time Charter

Diana Shipping Inc. has, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, agreed to extend the present time charter contract with Glencore Grain B.V., Rotterdam, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the 73,593 dwt m/v Arethusa built in 2007. The gross charter rate is $7,100 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 11 months to maximum 14 months. The new charter period is expected to commence on March 5, 2015. This employment extension is anticipated to generate approximately $2.34 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

Diana Shipping Announces Time Charter Contracts

Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE:DSX) entered into two time charter contracts with EDF Trading Limited, London, for its two Newcastlemax dry bulk carriers, the m/v Los Angeles and the m/v Philadelphia, which are currently under construction. Both charters will be at a gross rate of US$18,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a minimum 46 to a maximum 50 month period for the Los Angeles and a minimum 44 to a maximum 50 month period for the Philadelphia. As previously announced, the above mentioned vessels are Newcastlemax dry bulk carriers of approximately 206,000 dwt each that were contracted in April 2010. Diana Takes Delivery of Containership

Diana Shipping Inc.(NYSE:DSX), a global shipping transportation company specializing in dry bulk cargoes, announced today that the Company has taken delivery on July 7, 2011 of the m/v "Corona", renamed "Arethusa", a 73,593 dwt Panamax dry bulk carrier built in 2007. International S.A., Geneva for a period of about eleven (11) months to about thirteen (13) months, at a gross charter rate of US$13,250 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties. Diana Shipping Acquires Panamax Dry Bulk Carrier

Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE:DSX), a global shipping transportation company specializing in dry bulk cargoes, today announced that it has agreed to purchase from an unaffiliated third party the MV "Corona", a 2007 built Panamax dry bulk carrier of 73,593 dwt, for a price of US$29.99 million. Navy Installs New Multibeam Echo Sounders

In 2000 the Italian Navy Hydrographic Service installed two EM 300 multibeam echo sounder systems on their two new survey vessels, the "Galathea" and the "Arethusa". These two vessels have a wide spread of equipment from Kongsberg Maritime including EA 500 single beam echo sounder, a towed sidescan sonar, dynamic positioning system, etc. In the beginning of this year the Italian Navy Hydrographic Service again awarded a very important contract to Kongsberg Maritime for the supply of five multibeam echo sounder systems, four EM 3000 systems and one EM 1002 system. The supply of all sensors, associated with the multibeam has also been contracted to Kongsberg Maritime.
