AVEVA, Aker Solutions Ink Deal for AVEVA Everything3D

Cambridge, UK: AVEVA today announced that it has entered a multiyear agreement with Aker Solutions for AVEVA Everything3D (AVEVA E3D™). The Norwegian oil service company has selected AVEVA E3D to be its strategic 3D tool on plant design, modification and maintenance projects. This agreement is a continuation of a long-standing successful working relationship that spans more than 20 years. ‘The deployment of AVEVA E3D will enhance productivity, enabling Aker to execute larger, more complex projects with less risk using the best solutions available on the market. AVEVA Launches Software Upgrade

AVEVA announced new productivity enhancements in the latest release of AVEVA Electrical and AVEVA Instrumentation, feature-rich software applications for electrical and instrumentation engineering and design in plant and marine projects. New functionality also includes offering best-in-class cable routing capabilities based on AVEVA Everything3D (AVEVA E3D) as well as delivering greater flexibility to the way in which distributed engineering teams can configure and control projects.

AVEVA E3D Takes Center Stage

Customer case studies combine with advances in asset visualization and cloud technologies to showcase a new era in the creation and management of complex Digital Assets. AVEVA announced the expansion of customer trials of its 3D design software in the cloud, after its debut at the AVEVA World Summit 2014 in Berlin. AVEVA Everything 3D (AVEVA E3D) was demonstrated running in the cloud and generated so much interest that an additional session was added to the already packed agenda for keen delegates to find out more.

Tianchen Selects AVEVA 3D Design Solution

AVEVA announced that Tianchen, one of China’s largest engineering contractors serving the chemical processing industry, has selected AVEVA Everything3D (AVEVA E3D) as its 3D design solution. The decision was based on the solution’s graphics, collaboration functionality and its ease of use, the company said. AVEVA E3D is the cornerstone of AVEVA’s Integrated Engineering & Design solution. This facilitates rapid project start up, design efficiency, standards compliance and removes rework by enabling right first time fabrication and construction. Tianchen had been working with AVEVA PDMS software for over a decade and this migration is a major step forward in increasing the efficiency of their design capabilities.

KBR Extends Contract with AVEVA

AVEVA today announced that KBR, a global engineering, construction and services company, has substantially extended its utilization of AVEVA technology, which includes the selection of AVEVA Everything3D (AVEVA E3D). The new contract enables KBR to deploy AVEVA E3D along with an increased number of AVEVA solutions on major capital projects around the world. “We have a long standing relationship with AVEVA and we expect that AVEVA E3D will give us additional capabilities and flexibility to meet the needs of our customers,” said Farhan Mujib, Executive Vice President, KBR Operations.
