HII Named a Top Employer for New Grads

U.S. shipbuilder Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) was named one of America’s best employers for new college graduates in 2018 by Forbes. HII was ranked 21 of 250 employers in the nationwide survey.Forbes derived the list from a series of independent, online surveys of more than 10,000 young professionals working for organizations with more than 1,000 people in their U.S. operations. Shipbuilders HII, NNS Make Charitable Donation

Huntington Ingalls Industries donate US$ 2.1-million to the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula. The donation is a combined contribution from the HII corporate office and its participating employees, as well as donations made by the company's Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) division and its participating employees. Shipbuilders HII Donate to Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund

Huntington Ingalls Industries donates $50,000 to the American Red Cross. The shipbuilders' donation is to the American Red Cross' Disaster Relief Fund to be used to provide food, shelter, supplies and comfort to the people affected by Hurricane Sandy. "With most of our operations along coastal waters, we truly understand the human suffering, loss of life and damage to property caused by Mother Nature," said Bill Ermatinger, HII's corporate vice president and chief human resources officer. HII is also working with the American Red Cross to establish a "microsite" for employees to donate directly. "Donations will go toward providing much-needed food, shelter and supplies to people who have lost everything," Ermatinger said.

Taylor VP Benefits and Compensation, Huntington Ingalls

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (NYSE:HII) announced that Jim Taylor has been named corporate vice president, benefits and compensation. In this capacity he is responsible for formulating and maintaining competitive benefit and compensation programs for HII, including executive compensation, salary and wage administration, incentives, deferred compensation, health and welfare insurance and retirement benefits. He reports to Bill Ermatinger, corporate vice president and chief human resources officer.
