North Sea Atlantic Joins the Technip fleet

On Saturday July 26, 2014, a ceremony was held in Bergen to officially name the latest new subsea construction vessel to join the Technip fleet, the North Sea Atlantic. More than 200 guests from shipowner North Sea Shipping, ship charterer Technip and supply chain partners, gathered to attend the ceremony held at the NorYards BMV AS shipyard (previously Bergen Group) in Laksevåg, Bergen, Norway. The event was hosted by North Sea Shipping CEO, Hallvard Klepsvik, and his wife, Sigrid Anne Våge, acted as the vessel godmother. Technip announced in 2012 that it had signed a long term charter agreement with North Sea Shipping for an advanced new build construction vessel.

New Offshore ERRV Delivered Goes Straight to Work

Immediately after the naming ceremony, Atlantic Offshore's 'MRV Ocean Response' heads to North Sea on Statoil charter. This is the third Emergency Response and Rescue Vessel (ERRV) newbuilding delivered to Atlantic Offshore during the past year, with six more vessels under construction at several shipyards. Atlantic Offshore has gradually taken a strong international position in the market for emergency vessels and supply vessels and these ships are equipped with the latest technology, and contingency services related to fire, oil spill and rescue operations.

Technip Charters New-build Offshore Construction Vessel

Technip enters a long-term charter agreement with North Sea Shipping for a 2014 new-build offshore construction vessel to be built at Bergen Group BMV AS in Bergen, Norway, and delivered in 2014. The charter will be for a period of five or seven years commitment plus a five-year extension option, with a further option to purchase the vessel. The vessel is specially designed and equipped to suit the Norwegian installation market. This advanced subsea construction vessel has a length of 142 meters and width of 27 meters, and is equipped with a 400-ton crane and a 2,000-ton carousel for storage of flexible pipe below deck. Wärtsilä to Supply Ship Design and Full Diesel Electric Propulsion System

KD Marine, MOS Sub-Sea Service Agreement

KD Marine and Mermaid Offshore Services (MOS) have jointly entered into an Alliance Agreement which will enable KD Marine to provide fully integrated saturation, air diving, daughter craft and ROV services from the advanced DSV the Mermaid Endurer in the European market. KD Marine will act as the lead contractor in the Alliance, providing the diving and project management services whilst MOS will provide the DSV, marine and ROV services. The Mermaid Endurer is a 311.6-ft dynamically positioned DSV which is being built in the Bergen Group BMV shipyard in Bergen, Norway and which features an integrated 300 meter saturation diving system, integrated air dive and ROV systems, 100 ton crane and 1,000 square metre work deck space.

Fugro Signs Contract for New Vessels

Fugro has signed a contract with BMV (Bergen Yards) in Norway for building two new vessels. The contract consists of building one seismic vessel and one ROV offshore construction support vessel with a combined value of around $220.1m. The first ship is a seismic vessel and the vessel will be outfitted at BMV (Bergen Yards) in Bergen, Norway. The vessel will have a length of 108 m and a maximum breadth of 28 m and will be equipped with 16 tow points and the latest and most advanced seismic technology. The vessel will be delivered to Fugro in August 2010 and will operate world wide. The second vessel is a DP II ROV/offshore construction support vessel. This vessel will also be outfitted at BMV (Bergen Yards) and will have a length of 111 m and a breadth of 24 m.
