Repeat Order From Klyne Tugs

Yantai Raffles Shipyard is pleased to announced that Klyne Tugs ( Lowestoft ) Limited, UK have placed an order with the shipyard to build a repeat UT719-T 67m Anchor Handling Towing Supply Vessel. The contract was signed on November 23 in Yantai by Carl Beare,managing director of Klyne Tugs and Brian Chang – Chairman/CEO of Yantai Raffles Shipyard. “ We are extremely pleased to receive a repeat order from Klyne Tugs and it is our desire to deliver once again a quality vessel. ( The first vessel was named as “ Anglian Princess “ . We would like to place on record our appreciation to Mr. Carl Beare for his continued support and confidence in Yantai Raffles Shipyard. Our excellent relationship with Klyne Tugs will continue for many years to come.

IBM , Dassault Systems Collaborate on Platform Design

IBM and Dassault Systems announced that PLM solutions from IBM and Dassault Systems are driving a multi-national collaborative global design and manufacturing oil platform project that includes China-based Yantai Raffles Shipyard, Norwegian offshore technology company Sevan Marine, and Brazil's state-run oil company, Petrobras. The complex Sevan Stabilized Platform (SSP) 300 project, wherein Yantai Raffles builds the Sevan Marine-designed oil platform, utilizes CATIA, ENOVIA and DELMIA from Dassault Systemes and epitomizes the advantages that PLM brings to worldwide industry, according to Brian Chang, CEO, Yantai Raffles Shipyard. The Yantai-built SSP 300s will be deployed by its customer Petrobras.

Yantai Raffles Shipyard Goes With PLM

IBM and Dassault Systèmes have signed a contract with Yantai Raffles Shipyard (YRS) for product development and data management software. YRS has acquired IBM’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Shipbuilding Solutions with software developed by Dassault Systèmes in its aim to become one of the most efficient and low cost shipyards in the world. The PLM Solution fulfills YRS’ critical need for web-based product development collaboration to link its shipyard in Yantai, China with its headquarters in Singapore and its offices in Houston, Texas, USA. With the integrated IBM PLM platform, comprised of CATIA V5 for collaborative virtual product development and ENOVIA LCA and ENOVIA Portal 3d com for real-time product data management developed by Dassault Systèmes…
