Autoship Systems, per its partnership with Stargate, an ISP/ASP provider, has developed jointly a web site whereby their loading planning software, LPS, can be used remotely. Utilizing thin client technology, Autoship can now enable internationally located clients to work with LPS without actually implementing the software on their personal computers. Remote access through the Internet allows users to run deploy LPS using any available computer with Internet connection. In addition, the thin client technology allows multiple users to run the same instance of LPS concurrently. ExxonMobil Marine Fuels (EMMF) will begin trading marine fuels on the Internet and has signed the first of several agreements with an e-commerce portal.

Telemarine launches V.6 of Bunkerworld.com

The giant bunkerfuel website - Bunkerworld.com has reached version 6, in a major new re-launch. Bunkerworld.com which is operated by Telemarine Ltd in London, contains more than 10,000 pages of bunkerfuel related information. Version 1 of Bunkerworld was launched in Sept 1997. One of the major changes in the new version of the site is a new information mapping structure which allows flexibility when handling large amounts of related data.

BunkerDesk Expands Coverage

BunkerDesk continues to expand its coverage since the launch of the service in April 2002. BunkerDesk now covers an additional 25 bunkering ports, and now provides Daily Bunker indication for 149 ports worldwide, twice as many as any other service. According to Jamie Halliday, Data Manager "We are continuing to expand and deepen our bunker price coverage. Not only do we cover more and more ports, but we are also canvassing more and more suppliers. Now well into its 3rd month, BunkerDesk has proved an unqualified success. The service already has over 350 users. "There genuinely has been no let up in the number of people subscribing and trialling the system" says Matt Cape, Managing Director.

Bunkerworld.com Launches Estonian Market Survey

Bunkerworld.com has launched one of the latest updated market surveys. The new updated market survey looks at Estonia, one of the growing bunker markets in the Baltic Sea. In the past few years, bunker sales in the country have almost doubled and Estonia has seen more vessels call for bunkers in its waters. Compiled from extensive in-house research, the survey is created according to a formula which aims to give factual and concise information about the key aspects of the Estonian market. The updated survey includes the size of the Estonian market, what are the main bunkering locations, which products are available, product sources and delivery infrastructure.
