Vard to Convert IT Infinity PSV to Cable Laying Vessel

Norwegian ship designed and builder Vard has secured a contract from I.T. International Telecom Marine (IT) to convert its platform supply vessel (PSV) IT Infinity into a cable laying vessel (CLV).The PSV was built at Vard Brattvaag and delivered to Volstad Maritime in 2008 under the name Volstad Princess.SD Standard Drilling acquired the vessel in 2017 before it was sold to IT in 2021 and was renamed IT Infinity.The work will be carried out by Vard Brattvaag in Norway and the vessel will be delivered in the third quarter of 2024…

Oceanteam Focuses on Mexico Strategy

Rentocean to Supply Offshore Brazil Project Cable Carousel

RentOcean, a 100 percent owned subsidiary of Oceanteam Shipping ASA, has been awarded a contract to supply Ceona with a certified 2000t modular carousel system and a loading tower with built-in 15t tensioner for a one-year project plus option for one additional year. The carousel and the additional equipment will be used on Ceona's Polar Onyx vessel for the installation of flexibles, which will take place in 2014 and 2015 offshore Brazil. RentOcean will also supply technicians to ensure smooth operations.

Oceanteam Shipping Order PSV/CSC Carousel

Oceanteam order a new 2000/4000 ton modular carousel for offshore applications. Carousels are used for storage during transportation and installation of flexible pipe, umbilicals, risers and other products for offshore applications. The new patented OTS carousel series are designed for flexibility and quick mobilisation on standard modern PSV/CSV type vessels with limited deck load capacity for this type of equipment. The modular systems are delivered to the mobilisation site in 40ft containers and can be mobilised without vessel under deck reinforcement requirements. All system components are 'plug and play' and interchangeable. The 2000t carousel is delivered in such a way that it can be extended to a 4000t load capacity carousel in a short period of time.
