CACI Named MSC Logistics Prime Contractor

CACI International Inc says it has been selected as a prime contractor to provide logistics support to the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) on the Worldwide Logistics Services (WLS) contract. The five-year (one base plus four option years) multiple-award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract has a ceiling value of $37 million and represents continuing work in CACI’s Logistics and Material Readiness market area. Military Sealift Command is the leading provider of ocean transportation for the Navy and the rest of the Department of Defense (DoD), operating approximately 110 ships daily around the globe. The Command ensures DoD readiness by transporting military materials, such as fuel and equipment, and conducting specialized missions worldwide.

Northrop Grumman to Compete for USCG NAIS

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) announced at the U.S. Coast Guard Innovation Expo in New Orleans its intent to lead a team that will compete to design, integrate, install and test the Coast Guard's Nationwide Automatic Identification System (NAIS). NAIS will be a two-way maritime digital communication system, which will continually transmit and receive voiceless exchange of vessel data, including vessel identity, position, speed, course, destination and other data of critical interest for navigation safety, marine mobility and maritime security. The program will focus on improving maritime security, marine and navigational safety, search and rescue, and environmental protection services.

CACI Introduces New Methodology for Monitoring Containers

CACI International has filed a patent application for monitoring the contents of sealed shipping containers using ultra wideband (UWB) techniques. This marks the first time robust and reliable data signals have successfully been transmitted from inside a sealed container without modifying the container. CACI anticipates employing its application for a wide range of uses, from supporting the movement of military supplies to assuring the security of assets entering the United States. CACI developed the new monitoring methodology in cooperation with Advanced Resources Corporation (ARC) of Culpeper, Virginia, and Multispectral Solutions, Inc. (MSSI) of Germantown, Maryland. A wireless UWB transmitter is placed inside a container at the time it is sealed.

CACI Awarded $103M Navy Contract

CACI International Inc., announced that it has been awarded a $103 million prime contract by the U.S. Navy to support its Navy Enterprise Maintenance Automated Information System (NEMAIS) Data Center operations. The contract provides for three base years and two two-year options. CACI will perform the work at the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) site in Norfolk, Virginia in conjunction with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Norfolk. The award increases the company's core line of business in engineering services. NEMAIS, which CACI has supported since the project's inception, is designed to replace aging maintenance information systems with new integrated software.
