Wärtsilä Nacos Platinum for Four Cruise ships
Wärtsilä has been awarded the contract to supply a broad range of integrated automation, navigation and dynamic positioning equipment, as well as the complete uninterruptable power systems (UPS) for four new cruise ships. Two of the vessels are being built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, while the other two vessels are to be built at Meyer Turku in Finland. The contract with Wärtsilä was signed in the second quarter of 2016. The Wärtsilä Nacos Platinum system comprises 12 multifunction workstations for combined displays of ARPA radar, ECDIS conning and dynamic positioning operations, in addition to those for automatic steering and voyage planning.

Marlink Installs VSAT for KOTC Fleet
Marlink announced it has completed the roll-out of VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) connectivity across the entire Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) fleet of 26 tankers, during a three month project started in March 2015. Maritime Telecommunications Network to Provide Services to Thales
Maritime Telecommunications Network, Inc. (MTN), a Verestar company, was awarded a contract by Thales GeoSolutions to become its provider of global telecommunications capabilities. MTN, the leader in maritime communications, entered into a three-month agreement to provide telecommunications services onboard the specialist cable survey vessel, the Baruna Jaya III. Maritime Telecommunications Network (MTN), a Verestar company, has signed a three-year contract with ResidenSea to become the exclusive telecommunications provider for its new vessel, The World, the first resort community at sea that continuously runs around the globe.
