US Coast Guard Cutter Warren Deyampert Commissioned

The U.S. Coast Guard’s newest cutter, the Coast Guard Cutter Warren Deyampert (WPC-1151), was commissioned at Coast Guard Base Boston, March 30.Chief Warrant Officer Lance DeFoggi, assumed command of the cutter during a ceremony presided over by Vice Admiral Kevin Lunday, the Coast Guard Atlantic Area commander. US Navy Commissions USS Miguel Keith (ESB 5)

The U.S. Navy commissioned its newest Expeditionary Sea Base (ESB) ship USS Miguel Keith (ESB 5) Saturday, at Naval Air Station North Island, Coronado, Calif.Built by General Dynamics NASSCO, the 785-foot USS Miguel Keith is the third ESB variant of the Expeditionary Transfer Dock platform (ESD). Expeditionary Mobile Base was previously known as Afloat Forward Staging Base (AFSB) in the Mobile Landing Platform (MLP) program. ESBs are highly flexible platforms that provide logistics movement from sea to shore supporting a broad range of military operations.

The Coast Guard commissioned the newest California-based 154-foot Fast Response Cutter in San Diego, Wednesday.The Benjamin Bottoms is the fourth Sentinel-Class Fast Response Cutter (FRC) to be homeported at Base Los Angeles-Long Beach.While these ships will be based in San Pedro, they will operate throughout the 11th Coast Guard District, which includes all of California and international waters off of Mexico and Central America. "Radioman First Class Benjamin Bottoms is a Coast Guard hero," said Adm. Charles Ray, the Coast Guard vice commandant.

The Coast Guard commissioned a new, California-based 154-foot Fast Response Cutter in San Francisco, Saturday, March 2, 2019.The Coast Guard Cutter Robert Ward is the second of four Sentinel-Class Fast Response Cutters (FRC) to be homeported at Coast Guard Base Los Angeles-Long Beach.While these ships will be based in Southern California, they will operate throughout the 11th Coast Guard District, which includes all of California and international waters off of Mexico and Central America.“This cutter is specifically designed to face today’s threats in the maritime domain,” said Rear Adm.

CAPT Timothy Crone, USN (Ret) will serve as Hepburn’s Director, Advisory Services.CAPT Crone, a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the US Naval Academy and completed a Master of Science in Justice, Law and Society from American University. He has also received a Master of Arts in National Security Policy and Strategic Studies from the U.S.

Bollinger Delivers 29th Fast Response Cutter

Bollinger Shipyards has delivered the 29th Fast Response Cutter (FRC), USCGC Forrest Rednour, to the U.S. Coast Guard, Thursday in Key West, Fla.“The vessel’s commissioning is scheduled for November, 2018 in southern California. This will be the first of four FRCs to be stationed in San Pedro, Calif.,” said Ben Bordelon, Bollinger President & CEO. “Previous cutters have been stationed around the nation including Alaska and Hawaii.”The 154-foot patrol craft USCGC Forrest Rednour is the 29th vessel in the Coast Guard's Sentinel-class FRC program.

Perez Joins Hepburn and Sons

Hepburn and Sons has hired Rear Admiral Sam Perez as Chief, Advisory Services. Rear Admiral, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, earned his Masters of Art degree in Strategic Planning from Naval Postgraduate School and completed a year-long tour of the Federal Executive Fellowship (FEF) Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Perez served in the U.S. Navy for 36 years, following commissioning from the United States Naval Academy in 1980. His at-sea commands included command of Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15 and command of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 1. During his tour as the Deputy Director Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATFS), Perez was assigned to Operation Unified Response as part of the U.S. response to the Haiti earthquake in 2010.

Bollinger Shipyards has delivered the 18th Fast Response Cutter (FRC), USCGC Joseph Tezanos, to the United States Coast Guard on June 22, 2016 in Key West, Fla. Keel Laying for Aircraft Carrier John F. Kennedy

The Navy will lay the keel for the second Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carrier John F. Kennedy (CVN 79) Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10 a.m. John F. Kennedy, designated CVN 79, is the second aircraft carrier to honor President John F. Kennedy for a lifetime of service to the United States of America as a trusted leader and public servant. He wore the uniform of our nation as a Naval Officer and served as the 35th President of the United States of America, 1961-1963. The ship’s sponsor is Ambassador Caroline Kennedy, President Kennedy’s daughter. "The keel-laying for CVN-79 is an important milestone in returning a carrier named John F. Bollinger Delivers Seventh Coast Guard FRC

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. has delivered the Charles David Jr., the seventh Fast Response Cutter (FRC) to the United States Coast Guard. The announcement was made by Bollinger executive vice president of new construction, Chris Bollinger, “We are very pleased to announce another successful on-time and on-budget FRC delivery to the Coast Guard. The Charles David Jr. was delivered to the 7th Coast Guard District in Key West, Fla. and will be stationed at USCG Sector Key West. The 154-foot patrol craft Charles David Jr. is the seventh vessel in the Coast Guard's Sentinel-class FRC program.
