Saab's KleinPort Contracted for Curacao Ports Authority
Defence and security company Saab has been awarded a contract from the Curacao Ports Authority to install the latest version of Saab’s KleinPort for the Authority’s new Harbor Management System. Curacao Ports will be using KleinPort to manage its multi-harbor operations. System functionality includes the scheduling of vessel traffic and services, the dispatch of pilots and tugs, the recording of cargo data, full tariff billing and provision of comprehensive management reporting. “Curacao Ports required a new harbor management system that also met the needs of its tug subsidiary, KTK.
CPA Signs MOU with Nederex and Damen
Curacao Ports Authority NV (CPA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Nederex BV. (Nederex) and B.V. Damen Shipyards Gorinchem (Damen) on April 30. Damen Shipyards and Nederex are engaged in ship repair and the provision of maritime services. Last year CPA and Nederex signed a concession agreement with regard to the activities of Nederex within the St. Anna Bay, from an area which is managed by CPA. "This cooperation is an important step in the right direction," said Humberto de Castro, CPA's CEO.
Nederex, Damen Shipyards sign MOU with CPA
