CGG Wins Creditor Support for Chapter 11 Plan

CGG SA announces that all creditor classes entitled to vote on the chapter 11 plan proposed in the chapter 11 cases commenced on 14 June 2017 in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York by CGG SA’s 14 main foreign, direct and indirect subsidiaries, each a borrower or guarantor in respect of CGG Group’s funded financial indebtedness, have accepted the plan overwhelmingly. Specifically, all holders who have cast ballots in respect of the Secured Loans, and 97.14% in number and 97.96% in amount of those casting ballots in respect of the Senior Notes, voted in favour of the plan. Noble Pleads Guilty to Enviro Charges Surrounding Kulluk

Noble Drilling (U.S.) LLC was charged with environmental and maritime crimes for operating the drill ship Noble Discoverer and the drilling unit Kulluk in violation of federal law in Alaska in 2012, the Department of Justice announced. Under the terms of a plea agreement filed in federal court today, Noble will plead guilty to eight felony offenses, pay $12.2 million dollars in fines and community service payments, implement a comprehensive Environmental Compliance Plan, and will be placed on probation for four years. Navios Acquisition Proposes Private Offering

Navios Maritime Acquisition Corporation announced  that the company and Navios Acquisition Finance (U.S.) Inc., its wholly owned finance subsidiary, intend to offer through a private placement, subject to market and other conditions, approximately $600 million of first priority ship mortgage notes due 2021. The notes will be offered and sold in the United States only to qualified institutional buyers pursuant to Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and in offshore transactions to non-United States persons in reliance on Regulation S under the Securities Act. The notes will be secured by first priority ship mortgages on 12 vessels aggregating approximately 2.6 million deadweight tons owned by certain subsidiary guarantors.

General Maritime Corp to Emerge from Bankruptcy Soon

General Maritime Corp. Financial Indebtedness to be reduced by approximately $600 Million; Oaktree Managed Funds to Provide $175 Million in new capital

. General Maritime Corporation (the "Company") has announced that the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York (the "Bankruptcy Court") confirmed the second amended joint plan of reorganization (the "Plan") of the Company and its direct and indirect subsidiaries that are debtors under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code (the "Debtors"). General Maritime currently expects to emerge from Chapter 11 in May 2012 after the conditions to effectiveness of the Plan are satisfied.

Quintana Shareholders Approve Excel Merger

Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd. (NYSE: EXM) and Quintana Maritime Limited (NASDAQ: QMAR) jointly announced that at a special meeting of Quintana’s shareholders held April 14, 2008, Quintana’s shareholders voted to approve the merger agreement pursuant to which Excel will acquire Quintana. Under the terms of the merger agreement, each issued and outstanding share of Quintana common stock will be converted into the right to receive (i) $13.00 in cash and (ii) 0.4084 Excel Class A common shares. The 0.4084 exchange ratio will be reduced to reflect the $0.31 dividend paid by Quintana to its shareholders on March 7, 2008, in accordance with the terms of the merger agreement. Excel and Quintana expect the merger to close on or about April 15, 2008.
