Danish Offshore Vessel Owner Eyes Business in Norway

Danish offshore vessel owner Maersk Supply Service said Wednesday it would reflag one of its anchor handling vessels to the Norwegian flag, hire Norwegian crew and set up an office in Bergen. The plan is to have its first vessel ready for operation in Norwegian water during summer 2021, the company said."With a strong focus on the towing and installation of floating units for offshore wind and the oil and gas industry, Maersk Supply Service sees a clear link between its core capabilities and the Norwegian market needs.

Offshore Accommodation Unit Attacked in Mexico. Crew Member Injured

Offshore vessel provider Telford Offshore's offshore accommodation and hook-up unit Telford 28 was attacked earlier this week while anchored in Mexico. One crew member was injured.In an email sent to Offshore Engineer, Telford Offshore said: "We can confirm that the Telford 28 came under attack while anchored at Cuidad Del Carmen, Mexico on the evening of 14th April.""Mexican Navy responded quickly and attended vessel. All personnel are now safe, although one Telford crew member suffered injuries in the attack," Telford Offshore said.According to Telford Offshore, the injured crewmember was quickly transferred to hospital ashore and is recovering well. "Our main concern and always will be is ensuring the continued safety and wellbeing of all personnel onboard our vessels.

Timas Suplindo Charters Telford Construction Vessel

Telford Offshore: A New Offshore Services Provider

There’s a new name in the global oil and gas industry: Telford Offshore, which officially launched today after acquiring four vessels from Sea Trucks Group following its liquidation. The newly formed contracting company acquired four DP3 multipurpose offshore construction vessels which can support multiple activities, focusing on high capacity accommodation combined with lifting, fabrication and installation services. Reef Subsea Headed by New CEO

Reef Subsea today announced that it will undergo a strategic group-wide restructure. Duncan Macpherson, who previously held the role of Managing Director of Reef Subsea Norway, has been promoted as the CEO of Reef Subseawith the responsibility of implementing the new strategy. Reef Subsea offers a powerful combination of integrated subsea services to the oil and gas and offshore renewables markets. Over the past six months, Reef Subsea has launched a project based operation in West Africa, with two vessels now operating in the region.

Reef Subsea Announce Management Changes

Mark Preece is to step down as CEO of the Reef Subsea Group by mutual agreement. The board has acknowledged and thanked Mr. Preece for his efforts in developing and positioning Reef Subsea as a strong subsea contractor in the oil and gas and offshore wind farm sectors. Duncan MacPherson, the current managing director of Reef Subsea Norway, will assume the interim role of CEO for the Reef Subsea Group. Prior to joining Reef Subsea, Mr. MacPherson was an executive VP of DOF Subsea and general manager in DOF Subsea Norway. Meanwhile, Mel Fitzgerald has been appointed board chairman. Mr. Fitzgerald has been involved in the oil industry since he joined Brown and Root in 1974 as a Project Engineer and has worked in a number of positions and locations.
