Lücke to the Helm of Key German Maritime Exhibitions

Christoph Lücke is taking on the role of Project Head of Hamburg Messe und Congress’ maritime trade fairs SMM, MARINE INTERIORS Cruise & Ferry Global Expo, and Seatrade Europe effective February 1, 2023. He takes over from Claus Ulrich Selbach who remains committed to the maritime industry as Business Unit Director.Christoph Lücke (37) has been on the SMM team as Project Manager since 2016. His range of responsibilities included acquiring and supporting national and international customers.

Nor-Shipping Reschedules to April 2022

IADC Postpones June Events to Late 2020

In line with many maritime and offshore organizations and in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Association of Dredging Companies (IADC) announced that it was postponing two June 2020 events until the autumn of 2020.-- The Seminar on Dredging and Reclamation in Delft, initially planned for June 8-12, will be moved to September. The new dates will be announced as soon as possible.-- The CEDA-IADC Course Dredging for Sustainable Infrastructure in The Hague, initially planned for June 23-24, will be moved to December 1-2, 2020.At this time, the date for the Seminar on Dredging and Reclamation organised for October 5-9 in Singapore is not affected.

Antwerp XL Rescheduled for September

A new autumn edition of Antwerp XL will now run at Antwerp Expo, September 15th-17th. “Following the news on March 10 that the World Health Organization revised its classification of COVID-19 to global pandemic status and that the Belgian Government consequently recommended all indoor events (over 1,000 people) should be prohibited, we have been forced to cancel the April 2020 edition of Antwerp XL. We are however pleased to announce that a new edition of Antwerp XL will run on September, 15-17 at Antwerp Expo.“While the virus was in containment phase in Belgium and most other European countries and government authorities continued to tell venues and organizers to run events, we remained vigilant whilst open for business.

NorShipping 2019: A “Koselig” Event

"Koselig" is a Norwegian adjective used to describe situations that give a feeling of comfort, warmth, and relaxation. The NorShipping exhibition and conference, one of the largest in northern Europe, could definitely be described as koselig. Occurring in Oslo, Norway between June 4-7, 2019, the conference featured close to 1,000 exhibitors from around the world. With the prominently featured Blue Economy Hall, terms such as marine sustainability and environmental ocean awareness held the center stage at a number of the events. In true Norwegian fashion, most of the major press announcements were delivered in semi-intimate gathers with copious amounts coffee by maritime CEOs and VPs who enjoyed being called by their first names.
