Water in Lena River in Yakutia to Reach Critical Level

Russian Emergency Situations Ministry predicts rise in water level to critical levels of 92 rivers in all regions of the Far East. The most unfavorable situation may arise on the Lena River in Yakutia. "After analyzing the information about the state of the ice in the rivers of the Far East and the amount of snow cover, the specialists of the Far Eastern Center for Monitoring and Forecasting Emergency Situations Ministry predict the possibility of raising the water level to the achievement of critical levels of 92 rivers in all regions of the Far East. In connection with the probability of flooding of low-lying terrain, populated areas, farmland and roads during the spring flood is not excluded on the whole territory of the region ", - reported in the Far Eastern Regional Emergency Center.

Rosneft President Meets DSME's CEO On Shipbuilding Cluster

On 15th of June, 2014 Rosneft President, Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin held talks with CEO of DSME Jae-ho Ko on establishment of a shipbuilding cluster. The event was also participated by Chairman of the Management Board of OJSC Gazprombank Andrey Akimov, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sovcomflot Sergey Frank, President of JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation Alexey Rakhmanov and Chairman of the Management Committee of NOVATEK Leonid Mikhelson. The parties discussed the progress of the project on establishment of a shipbuilding cluster in the Far East of Russia implementation. In particular, the proposal of Rosneft to form a single site for all shipbuilding contracts of Russian customers on the basis of OJSC Far Eastern Center of Shipbuilding.

Shipbuilding and Repair Presence Primorye

Far Eastern Center for Shipbuilding and Shiprepairing is being created in Primorye. The Primorsky Territory Administration hosted a meeting dedicated to this new center. RF President Aide Alexander Burutin and Primorye Vice-Governor Pavel Popov took part in the meeting dedicated to creation of OJSC, which was held in the Primorsky Territory Administration. As the Administration reports, this open joint-stock company (OJSC) will be a sub-holding within the United Shipbuilding Corporation, which is now being founded on the initiative of the RF President Vladimir Putin. Russia Will Consolidate its Shipbuilding Industry

Russia's shipbuilding industry has launched a sweeping modernization program. President Vladimir Putin has signed decrees setting up a United Shipbuilding Corporation (known by its Russian initials, OSK) to consolidate large federal companies engaged in shipbuilding. Within the next few months, three regional subholdings will be formed. One of them - the Western Center - will unite shipbuilding companies in St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad. The Northern Center will take care of all Severodvinsk plants in the Arkhangelsk Region, and the Far Eastern Center will bring together companies located in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Vladivostok and Nakhodka.
